5 Two-Ingredient Hair Treatments | Get Thick Hair

Silky, Bouncy, Voluminous and Shiny. When I think of these words the only thing that comes into my mind is HAIR. I am obsessed with my hair! Well, who’s not?! Your hair is the first thing that people notice. Accept this- Your hair makes or breaks your Selfie game girl! Hence, I’m always thinking of ways to make my hair healthy. In today’s time, we abuse our hair so much by using hot irons, curlers, dryers, etc and then forget to take care of them! So today, I’ve complied a list of DIY two-ingredient hair masks that are easy to make. These are for all the lazybums out there that are too troubled by hair fall but also are too lazy to make a full-on hair mask including 4-5 ingredients. Enjoy!

1.Mustard oil & Fenugreek seeds:

Mustard oil is also known as ‘Sarson ka tel’. This oil contains Vitamin-A, Fatty acids, Iron, Magnesium, Calcium all of which promotes hair growth. Fenugreek seeds are used in many different ways- cooking, medicines, skincare but it works wonders in my hair care DIYs.

2 tbsp Mustard oil

1 cup Fenugreek seeds

Mix the ingredients together in a pan. Bring it to a boil. Then let it simmer for about 10 minutes on low heat.

Take it off the heat and let it sit overnight.

Separate the oil from fenugreek seeds. ( you don’t need the seeds now)

Apply the oil on your hair and leave it on overnight.

Wash off with a mild shampoo.

2.Castor oil & Vitamin E:

Castor oil is the most effective oil for hair growth. Massaging your scalp with Castor oil itself is also enough. But just to increase its effectiveness I like to add Vitamin-E in it. This blend will strengthen your hair roots and reduce hair fall.

1 tbsp Castor oil

2 capsules of Vitamin-E (you can get this in any pharmacy)

Burst the Vitamin-E capsules with the help of a pin.

Mix the Vitamin-E liquid and oil together an apply all over your hair and scalp.

Leave on this mixture overnight and wash off in the morning.

3. Olive oil & Egg:

Olive oil is a excellent ingredient for skin, diet as well as your hair. Eggs are packed with nutrients, proteins and Vitamin-D that works wonders for your hair. Both of these ingredients mixed together makes the most effective hair growth mask.

2 tbsp Olive oil

1 egg

Whisk the egg and olive oil together in a bowl.

Apply this mixture on your scalp as well as on the length of your hair.

Leave it on for 60 minutes then wash off with a mild shampoo.

4. Coconut oil & Lime juice:

Coconut oil is the most absorbent oil out there. It also helps in reducing the protien loss which can lead to unhealthy hair. This mask will unclog your scalp pores which in turn will result in new hair growth.

2 tbsp Coconut oil

1 tbsp Lime juice

Mix the ingredients together until the Lime juice is incorporated well with the Coconut oil.

Apply the mixture from root to tips.

Leave it on for 75 minutes and wash off with a mild shampoo.

5. Sweet Almond oil & Avocado:

Almond oil is supremely rich in Vitamin E & D, Calcium, Potassium and Magnesium. Avocado is rich in healthy fats. Apart from having a ton of healthy benefits, it is on of the most effective fruit for your skin and hair!

1 small ripe Avacado

2 tbsp Almond oil

Blend the ingredients together until a smooth consistency is formed.

Apply this mixture onto your scalp and hair.

Leave this on for 30 minutes and wash off.

Some Tips:

From the above mentioned treatments, choose one that suits you and do it once a week regularly.

Whenever you have applied a mask, cover your head in a shower cap to lock the moisture in.

Always give your hair a cold water wash before coming out of the shower.
