There are so many people in this world that aren’t even concerned about the fact that Healthy skin comes from eating healthy food; Foods that are known to provide you with the essential nutrients. Healthy foods like leafy vegetables, citrus, carrots help in fighting diseases. But did you know that all of these foods when included in your diet can work wonders for your skin as well!? Some aren’t aware of this fact and the ones that are aware, don’t care! They just want you to suggest a good cream, serum anything that comes in a pretty tub printed with a clinical label. But, understand, what you eat is as important as the creams & serums you apply on your skin. So today, I’ve made a list of the Best Foods For Healthy Skin. Incorporate these foods items in your diet as much as you can.

Avocados are rich in healthy fats that works in maintaining skin elasticity. Not just for skin, Avocado is great for your hair as well. Avocado has Vitamin C as well as Vitamin E!

Mashed avocado on brown bread is all I can see on my Instagram feed nowadays! Just try to include Avocado in your diet as much as possible.

You can make a mashed Avocado, banana & olive oil hair mask which really helps your hair in becoming lustrous. Or you can apply mashed Avocado mixed with honey on your face for supple & moisturised skin!

Tomatoes are rich in Vitamin-C and beta-carotene like lycopene among several other nutrients. Lycopene level is always higher in cooked & processed tomatoes so it is advisable to consume tomatoes in cooked form (tomato soup or pulp). This antioxidant acts as a natural sun protection. Though it is not a substitute for the actual sunscreen, it gives skin a high tolerance rate.

Eat it Or Apply it:

As I mentioned above, always eat tomatoes in cooked form. If you’re making tomato pulp, consume at least 4 – 5 tbsp. If you’re making soup, 2 times a day should be fine.

Cut slices of tomatoes and rub them on your face for at least 10 minutes daily.

Consume at least 2 oranges in a day OR a glass of orange juice daily.

Green tea bags are really helpful in reducing puffy eyes. Do not throw away your green tea bags after making the tea. Store them in the refrigerator for 10 minutes and press on to your eyes for at least 15 minutes for de-puffed & fresh under eyes.

Pomegranate is really rich in Vitamin A, C & E. It also consists minerals & omega 3 fatty acid that helps in regeneration of new cells.
