Benefits of using my homemade hair mask for dry hair and its ingredients:

Avocado is a really nutritious fruit. Every dietitian & nutritionist recommends including Avocados in our daily diet. But, it’s not only good when eaten. It works miracles to our skin and hair as well. It has numerous fats and oils that work very well in improving hair texture. Avocados are a great source of Vitamin B & E. It is also very rich in fibers. The buttery texture of this fruit gives dry hair the mosturisation it needs!

Egg is a super food. Not only when you eat it, but also when you apply it. On your face as well as your hair. Egg has high amounts of Vitamin A, D & E. These vitamins promote hair growth and prevent hair loss. Egg is basically a rich protein treatment for your hair.

Honey is a miraculously mosturising ingredient that can easily be found in everybody’s kitchen. I try to incorporate honey in as many homemade treatments as I can. Because, the enzymes and nutrients in Honey gives shine to dull & lifeless hair.

Castor Oil:

Castor oil is the oil you should use if have fine or thinning hair. It promotes hair growth and prevents hair breakage. Hair breakage is when your hair breaks in half without much tugging. This is a really big cause of hair thinning which many people aren’t aware of. Not every strand of hair that you lose falls from your scalp. Many of them break in half if your hair gets weak or damaged. Castor oil helps in preventing this problem of hair breakage as well.

  • Make sure the Avocado you buy is ripe. If it’s not wait for 2 to 3 days before you use it. If the skin of the fruits turns black and it feels squishy on touch, it’s ripe.
  • Cut the Avocado in half. Take a half piece of Avocado and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. This step should be really easy if you’re using a ripened Avocado.
  • Take your blender jar. Put Avocado, Egg, Castor oil & Honey in this jar and blend everything together for 5-10 seconds. I don’t have a blender. So, I use a mixer grinder that all of us have in our homes. You can mix everything together in a bowl using a fork as well if you don’t wish to use a mixer or blender.
